Human Trampolines was first conceived when the Spinto Band was asked to contribute a few hours of programming for friends in San Antonio for a show titled Music For Listeners. The only bit of material contributed by Jon Eaton was a short piece he read about a favorite song of his. The song was Frank Zappa's Peaches En Regalia (which you can hear in episode 4 of Human Trampolines), and upon hearing the segment completed, everyone thought it would be such fun to hear other stories (or anything really) about people's experiences with specific songs. At Human Trampolines, we make an effort to allow people to contribute anything that may connect them to a song. Short stories, memories, debate sessions, a passionate plea... anything goes. We hope that listening to others explain their connection to a song may cause the listeners to connect to the song and we can build a series of connections that will reach Neptune, the god of the sea.
